UNTOUCHED ICELAND
Just thinking about this exotic, untamed land sends ripples of excitement down my nerves. It is like a trip to some unknown planet. This is one place where most people have not yet traveled but it is becoming a popular destination. The vast open lava fields on both sides of the non-ending road, is simply unique sight. The roads are narrow, and seem to go nowhere. Once you leave the hustle & bustle of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, you find yourself alone on the road with no living being in sight; no birds scale the sky & no wildlife on the ground. All you see are mountain ranges topped with snow & lava fields. The highlight of Iceland is the "Blue Lagoon" where one can relax in the natural hot springs surrounded by nature. The water is hot & white due to some chemicals at its surface, known to have healing properties. One dip in the spring water is enough to recharge you & give you freedom from below zero temperatures. Another interesting thing to see are the geysers which shoot out hot liquid & chemicals from below the earth into the air, many feet above. I feel that Iceland is definitely worth the visit. There are 3hr direct flights (Icelandic Airlines) from Copenhagen, DK & New York. I highly recommend everyone to go to Iceland. HAppy Trip!!
